Jacqueline Nora Terry Mauzey, 74

| January 17, 2013 8:00 PM

Jacqueline Nora Terry Mauzey, 74, entered peacefully into eternity with her Savior on Monday afternoon, Jan.14, 2013 while surrounded by friends and family singing her favorite hymns at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’ Alene.

Born on Aug. 12, 1938 in San Bernardino Calif., grew up with two sisters Katherine and Micky. She moved with her husband to Coeur d’Alene in 1970. Jacqueline acquainted herself with the community through her employment at Denny’s for over 30 years. The staff quickly became an extended family and after retirement, she enjoyed coffee there every morning with her dear friend Nelda. She was well-known and loved by her customers and others in the community. She attended Hayden Avenue Church of God.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her first born, Alan Barnes. She is loved and remembered by her son, Willie Lee Wixom Jr. with his five children: daughter, Teresa Ann Mauzey Parker and husband Bill with their son, Shane; and her beloved Kitty “Kiki”. Jacqueline also had an adopted family, Leon and Nelda Remington with their four children and many grandchildren. She is also survived by niece, Valerie and husband Kim, with their two children.

Jacqueline had a servant’s heart and loved being with family. We look forward to seeing her again one day in Heaven.

There will be a service at The Altar Church, 901 E. Best Ave., Coeur d’Alene, officiated by Pastors Tim Remington and Bob Conrad on Sat., Jan. 19, at 1 p.m.

There will be a memorial fund established in her honor. Anyone who cares to donate may make checks payable to Good Samaritan Rehabilitation and drop off at The Altar Church, 901 E. Best Ave., Coeur d’Alene.

We greatly appreciate all the kind thoughts and prayers during this time.

As spoke by Jesus “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

- Matthew 5:4
