MOBILES: An option for homeless

| January 16, 2013 8:00 PM

With so many homeless in our area it makes absolutely no sense to tear up perfectly good housing to make room for commercial property. Mobile homes built before 1976 must be rebuilt to meet present codes. Without that they cannot be sold or moved.

Now, if they are so unsafe why would we allow people to continue to live in them? I am sure there are many who would gladly accept these homes if they were given away.

When there are so many homeless it makes no sense to destroy perfectly good housing. If we need to change the law, then that would be a good place to start. It still makes no sense to tear up perfectly good housing. Comments: jimhollingsworth@frontier.com
