SANDPOINT - Moscow's height and hot shooting were simply too much, as the Bears dominated the Bulldogs in a 4A Inland Empire League clash at Les Rogers Court.
Nick Ellison, a 6-foot-6 post, scored 17 points to lead the Bears (7-4, 2-0 4A IEL), who owned the glass and took advantage of second-chance opportunities.
Nathan Schwartz scored seven points to lead the Bulldogs (2-11, 0-1 4A IEL), who trailed by one after the first quarter before things fell apart. The Bulldogs were playing the second of back-to-back games, and ran out of gas in the second half.
"We didn't play as hard as we need to play. We got frustrated in the fourth quarter and kind of coasted, and that's something we've got to work on," Bulldogs coach Tyler Haynes said. "I was thrilled with the first quarter, and our first half was solid. But when you're down by 25, you still have to execute."
T.J. Alsager had seven rebounds, and Jeremiah Gagnon had five assists and two steals in defeat.
