Helen Brynjulson, 93

Helen Jane Brynjulson passed away from a stroke on January 6, 2013 at Hayden, Idaho at the age of 93.

Helen was born December 14, 1919 to Richard and Gertrude Brown of Sidney, MT. Helen graduated from Sidney High School, Sidney, MT in the class of 1939 and was employed at the Triangle Night Club.

Helen was married to J. George Brynjulson on September 6, 1942 in Sidney, MT. They lived in Sidney until 1945 when they moved to Plentywood, Mt where Helen was employed at JC Penney Co for 25 yrs and George worked for the Plentywood Electric Co until she and George moved to Colville and opened the first Coast to Coast store in Colville, WA.

In 1987, Helen and George retired and moved to Clark Fork, Id. In 1993 they moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Pat(Kenny) Halland Colville, WA and Celeste (Roger) Gillispie Hayden, Idaho ; grandchildren, Chris Halland, Williston, ND; Pam Mace, Spokane, WA; Shawn(Kelly) Halland, Las Vegas, NV; Kim Nieder, Chehalis, WA, Step grandsons, Jim Gillispie, Snohomish, WA; John Gillispie, Hayden, Id.; great grandchildren, Jessica, Amber, Cody, Brittney, Julia, Ashley and Leah, and two great-great grandsons, Noah and Silas.

Helen is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and brother and sisters in laws in California: Bob & Cathy Brynjulson, Delores Vis, Lila McHugh and Gerald Brynjulson and Helen Martin, Miles City, MT.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, George (2009) and her parents Richard and Gertrude Brown, her brothers Bill, Bob, Hugh Brown and one sister, Hazel Wersland and two grandchildren, Corwin and Karla.

In keeping with Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A memorial gathering will take place in the spring.
