Come sing with the Sweet Adelines

| January 11, 2013 8:00 PM

January is Sweet Adelines' International's Global Open House month, and the Coeur d'Alene Chorus will host a guest night 7 p.m. Monday at the Coeur d'Alene Assembly of God Church.

They will entertain guests with classic tunes"'Orange Colored Sky" and "Mood Indigo" and an upbeat gospel number, "Ride In That Chariot."

Chorus director Sally Wallace will teach guests a short song to give them a taste of singing four-part harmony.

The Cd'A Chorus is well-known as the Victorian carolers in the downtown area each December, and this activity is a favorite of chorus members. The annual Christmas concert was standing-room-only last month.

The organization's motto is "Real Women, Real Harmony, Real Fun" and this group is eager to share the fun with women who like to sing and want to try something new.

"They also know the health benefits of singing, laughter, and keeping mentally sharp by learning new skills," according to a press release. "Many chorus members attest to how belonging to CDA Chorus gives their life balance, satisfaction and great enjoyment."
