ABORTION: Rally
Welcome to 2013 — and what a mixed bag it already is. We’re either on our way to economic recovery or not; we’re either on our way to communism or not; we’re either on our way to universal, single payer health care or to rationing — and on and on. Sadly the one thing we can count on is the continued destruction of unborn babies. January 20th this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s (the earthly supreme court, that is) declaration of open season on the most helpless among us. Since January 1973, over 55 MILLION babies have been put to death (97% for convenience) and that number grows by over a million each year. Untold numbers of women have also died or been severely injured, physically and/or emotionally, and involved fathers have had their sons and daughters torn from them, without their having any right to protect them.
Right to Life of Coeur d’Alene will conduct its annual March and Rally on Saturday, January 19, at 10 a.m. It will start in the Skate Plaza parking lot and feature speakers Senator Steve Vick and a woman who has “been there, done that” and can speak with authority about the horror of abortion. We will then march down I-95 to K Mart and back. This is always an uplifting experience met with plenty of car horns and words of encouragement.
Too many people, including community leaders, lack the courage to speak up in defense of the innocent. Come join us!
