TEENS: Worth the price of admission
Recently we went to the Regal Cinema to see Les Miserables as guests of our daughter. After the movie, I went to the men’s room. While I was in there some teenage boys entered. Usually in the company of teenage boys we seniors are apprehensive. These young men proved that that should not always be the case.
One of them asked how tall I was. That is not unusual because I am 6 feet 6 inches. Then they politely asked about my grandchildren. In the conversation I suggested that they do themselves a favor and see Les Miserables. As I was leaving one of them said, “God bless you.”
I think the community should be pleased that there are such young men living among them. I applaud their parents for raising quality young people. I hope that these young men do not allow peer pressure to steal from them what they are. To these boys I say “THANK YOU” for restoring hope for the future in me and to apologize for the mess we have left them.
Finally, to these young men I say, God bless you!
