GUNS: Armed citizens are better

To Jim Spurr and everyone else who wants to blame tragedies on guns, and the NRA.

Are the NRA a bunch of corporate goons who make money on guns? Yes. But did they cause this to happen? No.

Let’s get some facts out there. Yes, 30 people will die today from guns, but did you know that four times that number will die today from accidental deaths in a doctor’s care (CDC)? Do you know that twice that number of people will die from overdose of LEGAL prescription drugs?

Do you know that in the Czech Republic and in Switzerland, EVERY single male is issued a fully automatic assault rifle with high capacity magazines and they have the LOWEST crime rates across the board of any nation on earth. So yes, armed citizens = safe citizens. Like it or not, it is a fact.

So stop blaming this horrible tragedy on the NRA, guns, gun laws, whatever. And start blaming the real culprit of this, the shooter.

And did I mention that the gun they blame this on (an AR-15) was never used. It was left in the car. He killed people with two 9mm’s. Same thing at Aurora, the AR-15 jammed and was never used. Get your facts right please.

Does anyone think that more gun control or regulations is gonna do anything to people who don’t follow the law anyway? AR-15s were already banned in Newtown. High capacity rounds too.

Criminals don’t follow laws.
