Bobcats rally past Eagles

BOZEMAN, Mont. - Flavien Davis scored 19 points and Montana State overcame a 15-point deficit in the second half to beat Eastern Washington 70-68 in overtime Saturday night.

Calen Coleman made a 3-pointer in overtime to put the Bobcats (5-7, 2-2 Big Sky) ahead to stay at 67-66 with 3:10 to go.

"We played really, really well in the first half and second half," EWU coach Jim Hayford said. "It was a really good game, but there has to be a winner and a loser."

Davis had 12 points in the second half when the Bobcats overcame a 50-35 deficit.

Jeffrey Forbes led Eastern Washington (3-11, 1-3) with 18 points. Kevin Winford had 13 points and six assists for the Eagles.

The Eagles host Northern Arizona on Thursday.
