* RATHDRUM PARKS AND RECREATION

The Rathdrum Parks and Recreation Department is taking registrations for the boys and girls 5th-6th grade basketball program. There will be an opportunity to sign up after 5 p.m. on Thursday at Stein's IGA from 6 to 8 p.m. or at Super One Groceries for those that can't get to the Parks and Recreation office before 5.

Cost is $18 for city residents and $23 for non-residents. Deadline is Jan. 4 at 5 p.m. at the Rathdrum Parks and Recreation Department. Late registration will continue on Jan. 7 for an additional $5 fee if room is available.

The department is also looking for volunteers to coach the teams.
