Knitting classes at Alpaca Direct begin in January

Are you new to knitting or have you been away from your knitting needles for a few years and could use a refresher? The knit masters at Alpaca Direct are here to help you get things going while the snow is falling!

As the New Year kicks off we are offering two different classes in our Hayden store. The first is based on a Skacel pattern book called "Building Blocks." The expert knitter Michelle Hunter has compiled a set of 12 patterns, each making a knitted "block" and covering a new skill set for you to learn and master. When you are finished with this class you will have a beautiful Sampler Blanket showcasing your repertoire of new stitches! This is a great class for both new knitters and experienced fiber artists.

Our second class is a knit-along for socks called "Progressive Needles Knit-Along." Since the nature of a knit-along is secretive I don't have many particulars about this class. Knit-alongs are always full of fun and laughter so if you need a little mystery in your life, be sure and join us and enjoy the knitting journey to see how your projects transform into a unique set of socks.

Our shop in Hayden has thousands of yarns available in a broad spectrum of weights, from drool-inducing chunkies down to lace yarns so fine that they double as embroidery wool! For quick projects that suit both men and women, try our warm and cozy Alpaca yarns. No matter what the project, there's beautiful yarn for the occasion and a team of professionals at Alpaca Direct to help you make it happen!

Alpaca Direct is a direct merchant of high quality yarn, apparel and socks. We stock a full line of fiber art accessories, from handcrafted needles and hooks to spindles and spinning wheels. Our unique selection of products also includes Peruvian alpaca sweaters, hand-loomed lace scarves, performance alpaca socks, cuddly alpaca teddy bears and unique international jewelry.

Our building is handicap accessible, with ample parking and easy to find. We are located on Hayden Avenue, just two blocks west of Highway 95 at 1016 W. Hayden Ave. in Hayden.
