Focus on ADD/ADHD

You have been seeing the terms ADD and ADHD very often in our recent articles. This is due to the fact that our Focus program is now in full swing and we have begun helping children and adults in managing their sensory integration issues such as ADD/ADHD or patterns of being impulsive, hyperactive, inattentive or exhibit an unexplained lack of productivity.

The full spectrum of this drugless program is actually much larger than what the title of this article suggests. While the terms "ADD" and "ADHD" are recognizable by nearly everyone, terms like "sensory integration disorders," "autism spectrum disorders" and "learning disabilities" are not as wide ranging.

Fortunately, our Focus program is that wide ranging.

Focus is taking an integrated approach to all of these issues by pulling together three of the most powerful tools proven to create success in managing learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and sensory integration disorders like ADD and ADHD. These three tools are chiropractic, nutrition and neurological integrated movements (NIMS).

Spoelstra Family Chiropractic rolled out the Focus program in May for the singular purpose of providing people and families with another option in a medical environment that seems to have very few choices. We want families to understand that there is now a certified program in their community that specializes in managing sensory integration disorders, ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum disorders and learning disabilities without the use of medications.

We also understand the far reaching effects these issues have on families, friends, peers, co-workers and classmates. It is never just an "individual" problem. These issues create a ripple effect that changes the health and welfare of all those around them. This holds true regardless of the age of the person affected. This is why we are committed to helping both children and adults. In fact, we are already doing both.

We are currently inviting anyone who would like to learn about the Focus program to attend one our FREE orientation meetings. This meeting will serve to answer all of your questions about the program and provide you one-on-one time with the Focus staff to seek out further information. There is absolutely no obligation to you other than to show up, learn and decide for yourself if this program is right for you or your family member.

Meetings are being held every other week at 6 p.m. The next meeting is currently scheduled for Jan. 9 at the office of Spoelstra Family Chiropractic in Coeur d'Alene. Don't miss an opportunity to find out if Focus is right for you or your family member.

Space is limited and meetings do fill up to capacity. Please call (208) 667-7434 today to reserve your spot. You can also visit us on the Web at www.CDAHealth.com.
