Western Nevada sweeps NIC in softball

CARSON CITY, Nev. - Sydney Darby hit a two-run home run in each game as Western Nevada swept North Idaho College 5-4 and 7-2 in Scenic West Athletic Conference softball play Tuesday.

Andrea Lee hit a three-run homer in the first game for the Wildcats.

Kelsey LaVaute, Shanika Sawyer and Kylene Hatton all had three hits on the day for NIC (4-15, 1-11 SWAC).

The teams are scheduled to play another doubleheader today.
