Barbara Dorothy Trotter, 73

Barbara Dorothy Trotter, 73, passed away Feb. 24, 2013, at Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene. She was born Oct. 30, 1939, in Forsythe, Mont.

Her parents Fred and Genevieve Collins raised a family of 12 children. Barbara grew up and attended school in Rose Lake. She was married to Kenneth Lee Trotter, whom preceded her in death in 2008. She was a devoted mother to their four children. Barbara was very involved in her church Sky Prairie in Post Falls. She enjoyed singing, playing cards, church activities, was an avid Bible reader but most of all enjoyed her family and friends. Her home was constantly filled with laughter and the coffee pot was always on.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara and her husband Monty Finley of Lance Creek, Wyo., Cindy and her husband Mark Beattie of Post Falls and her sons, Kenneth Trotter Jr. and Roy Trotter both of Post Falls. She was the proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren; she was “G.G.” to 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren all of whom adored her. Barbara’s life was filled with faith, family and friends to the very end.
