This couple's knack is in the kitchen
They met in a kitchen so perhaps having a business that involves a kitchen is only natural for Gabe and Mandy Booher. The new place is Post Falls Coffee Co. & Bakery at 621 N. Spokane St., Post Falls.
Gabe was from Oregon, and Mandy was from Southern California when they met in the music camp kitchen he ran for 250 guests. They married a year later and came to Post Falls where they started the Post Falls Coffee Co. double drive-through at Seltice Way and Chase Street in 2009. With their beverages, freshly made scones and pumpkin bread and welcome success, they recently opened the big place where G.W. Hunter's banquet room used to be. They also have muffins, bagels, cookies, breads and weekend cinnamon rolls.
Also with a drive-through, the new place is open 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays. They'll be open on Sundays starting in April when they'll have a grand opening and free 16-ounce drinks. They have eight employees.
