STATE HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS: Kootenai bows out at 1A Div. II tourney
NAMPA - Kootenai managed just 4-of-48 (8.3 percent) shooting from the field in a 47-18 loss to Tri-Valley in a loser-out game Friday at the state 1A Division II girls basketball tournament at Nampa High.
Katey Mae McInturff scored seven ponits and Lacy Goodson grabbed eight rebounds for Kootenai, which went 0-2 at state and finished 4-20.
Junior guard Victoria Branch scored 29 points for Tri-Valley (17-4), and junior Skye Southwick added 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Bonners Ferry to play for consolation title: The Badgers outscored Priest River 13-3 in overtime for a 45-35 victory over Priest River in a loser-out game at the state 3A tournament at Skyview High in Nampa.
Savanna Woods had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Bonners Ferry (17-7), which plays Marsh Valley (19-7) today at 8:15 a.m. PST in the fourth-place game.
Steffie Pavey had 12 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists for Priest River, which finished 16-10.
