Spring Dash 2013 T-shirt design contest

The search is underway for a T-shirt design for the 31st running of the Spring Dash, a 5-mile run/walk and tot-trot to benefit the United Way of Kootenai County.

The design winner will receive $100 from Bank of America, community recognition in the newspaper, and the opportunity to work with the T-shirt company to see the process from start to finished product.

The winning design will be printed on more than 2,000 T-shirts and distributed to all Spring Dash racers.

Designs must be submitted on paper to United Way of Kootenai County, 501 E. Lakeside Ave., Suite 3, Coeur d'Alene.

Colors are encouraged and designs may be in any medium but must include the following: The title and year of event, "Spring Dash 2013"; the slogan "31st Annual"; the location "Coeur d'Alene, Idaho"; and of course the ever-so infamous Tulips.

Entries must be delivered or postmarked on or before March 22. Include your name, address, and phone number on the back of your entry.

The 31st annual Spring Dash is scheduled April 21.
