'Alice' set to open Feb. 22
Christian Youth Theater-North Idaho says come tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice in its upcoming production, "Alice the Musical." All of the familiar characters you know and love from the popular childhood story, "Alice in Wonderland," will be there and many more in this cast of 76 local school children.
The show opens Feb. 22 at the Kroc Center.
"With cleverly written songs, whimsical costumes, and distinctly different styles of choreography, this show has something for theater goers of all ages," according to a press release. "Come enjoy great story telling and let the colorful sets and costumes whisk you away for two hours of fantasy fun."
All of the children are taking theater arts classes in CYT's winter session of their after-school theater arts education program.
Dates and Times are as follows: Feb. 22, 23, March 1 and 2 at 7 p.m.; Feb. 23, March 2 and 3 at 3 p.m.; Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. and a bonus performance at Feb. 24 at 1 p.m.
Tickets are: $12 for adults; $10 for seniors and children 12 and younger and $9 for groups of 10 or more to the same performance. All tickets are $2 more at the door.
There is a discount matinee, 3 p.m. Feb. 23. Tickets are $8.
The 1 p.m. performance on Feb. 24 is for patrons with special needs and their families/caretakers. Tickets are $6. This is an abbreviated performance that is adapted for an audience with special needs.
