WORDS: Yes, meanings matter

Does a child hanging from a play structure on a playground have as much fun as one hanging from a monkey bar? How can you be a monkey on a play structure?

Can a student today get through grade school, high school, college, and if they choose, grad school like many do without having been made academically ready for kindergarten and first grade? Actually, what does academically ready mean?

When the meanings of words are changed or their concepts not made clear, those of us who have come before find ourselves uncomfortably in the dark.
