| February 12, 2013 8:00 PM

PLUMMER - Doug Schatz scored 22 points and had six rebounds to lead the Lakeside Knights to a 68-56 North Star League win over Wallace on Monday night.

Lakeside (8-11, 5-2 NSL) needs a win at Kootenai on Thursday to win the league title.

Brady Brantley had 12 points and eight rebounds for Wallace (1-8, 6-2).

Schatz hit 11 of his 15 shots from the floor.

"We inserted Doug into the starting lineup and he stepped up," Knights coach Brad Calkins said. "He has played pretty solid for us all year and they didn't have an answer for him.

"Wallace played very hard - you've got to give them credit," Calkins said.

Calkins also noted Joe Brown's effort on the night. He finished with 14 points and six rebounds. "Defensively and on the rebounding end, he had a great game."
