Spring Dash 2013 T-shirt designs sought

| February 9, 2013 8:00 PM

The search is under way for a T-shirt design for the 31st running of the Spring Dash, a 5-mile run/walk and tot-trot to benefit the United Way of Kootenai County.

Middle and high school students in the community are being asked to put their artistic skills to use and enter the 2013 Spring Dash T-Shirt Contest.

The design winner will receive $100 from Bank of America, community recognition in the newspaper, and the opportunity to work with the T-shirt company to see the process from start to finished product.

The winning design will be printed on more than 2,000 T-shirts and distributed to all Spring Dash racers.

Designs must be submitted on paper to United Way of Kootenai County, 501 E. Lakeside Ave., Suite 3, Coeur d'Alene.

Colors are highly encouraged and designs may be in any medium but must include the following: The title and year of event, "Spring Dash 2013"; the slogan "31st Annual"; the location "Coeur d'Alene, Idaho"; and of course the ever-so infamous Tulips.

Entries must be delivered or postmarked on or before March 22. Include your name, address, and phone number on the back of your entry. The Spring Dash committee will have full rights to the winning entry. All other entries may be returned upon request.

The 31st Annual Spring Dash, sponsored by Bank of America and the Coeur d'Alene Press, will take place on April 21 and is a qualifying race for Bloomsday's second-seed starting area.

All proceeds will be donated to United Way of Kootenai County.

Race entries are available at active.com.
