Vera Frances Kole, 85
Vera Frances Kole, 85, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in Sandpoint. Private family services will be held on Sunday, July 14,2013, at the Westmond Cemetery.
Vera was born on Nov. 6, 1927, in Woodland to George and Mildred Finney. She grew up and attended schools in Kamiah where she played basketball in high school. She lived in Winchester during World War II and worked for the Potlatch Mill.
She married Harry Kole on Feb. 1, 1947, and they made their home in the Lewiston Orchards. In 1964 they moved to Coeur d’Alene and she worked as a nurse at Pinewood Manor. In 2011, after Harry died, she moved to Sandpoint to be closer to family.
She enjoyed crocheting, camping, gardening and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Mike and Nanci Rinaldi of Sandpoint, Rosy Kole of Kellogg, Don Kole of Bonners Ferry, and Lila Jean and Joe Johnson of Union, Ore.; grandchildren, Devin and Sarah Rinaldi, Stacy Rinaldi and Sara Schumaker, Scott and Cindy Marker,Chris and Celeste Marker, Toni and Adam Parks, Keith Johnson, James Johnson and Zach Johnson; and siblings, Austin Finney, Fred Finney, Eva Jay, Jan Eaton and Marie Spell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry, brother Harold Finney, sister Betty Miller and grandson John Michael Appelberg.
The family would like to thank Maryann and Larry Jeffries for their outstanding care of our mother.
