REMARK: Stop playing race card

| February 8, 2013 8:40 PM

I have been reading with interest the letters in your paper for some time now and have wanted to send something in but have hesitated for 2 reasons. (1) Most of the stuff is so ridiculous, absurd and brainless it is not worth dignifying. (2) I figured it would not be printed anyway.

Now I have finally had more than I can take, and whether you print this or not, I am getting it off my chest. I am sick and tired of the liberals in this country trying to play the race card on ANYTHING that is said or done against their agenda. It is obvious to me that they are trying to use race to divide this country. Pandering to minority groups to win votes is nothing new but they have taken it to a new level. If you don’t like something call it racist. Let me list a few examples.

(1) If you say anything against Obama it is because he is black. Period end of story. I have nothing against a black president. It was inevitable, just as a female president is inevitable. I just don’t like THIS black president. He has taken my beloved country away and replaced it with something very foreign to me

(2) Illegal aliens. If someone comes into this country without following the law they are both illegal and aliens. Nothing racist about it. Simply a statement of fact and it applies to ANYONE regardless of where they come from, not just Hispanics. How mush brained people can make something racist out of it is beyond me

(3) To say someone is lazy and then make something racist out of it is downright laughable. When I was a teen my parents told me more than once to quit being so lazy and I used it more than once on my own. Where is the racism there? Look up lazy in the dictionary and I don’t think you will find any references to race there.

(4) Obama is “black and scary.” Ooooooooook. Let’s break this down. Is he black? Yep, believe so. Is he scary? Well he scares the hell out of me with what he and his circle of morons are doing to this country.

I could go on and on with more of the same type of ignorance but think I have made my point. Just my two cents worth and maybe not worth more to anyone else but it is my opinion and just try to keep me from it.
