EMERGENCY: But help is all around

| February 8, 2013 8:38 PM

I was enjoying an evening at a local restaurant on Feb. 1, and a woman beside me fell sick suddenly. Within five minutes she began to lose consciousness. One man jumped up and assisted by calling 911. Another man immediately moved in to assist and a doctor did not hesitate a second, delegating to have her moved to the floor to treat her while his wife ran to bring him his stethoscope from the car.

We live in a cruel, dumbed-down world, but at that moment I witnessed people not hesitating to reach out. The doctor, who no doubt works very hard, came to the restaurant to relax. I admire how quickly he responded to that woman.

I just wanted to express how moved I was, and the people sitting around me, including our waiter, because of the compassionate people who stood up for that woman and her worried husband. God bless all of you. What comes around goes around!
