| February 7, 2013 8:00 PM

The Bureau of Land Management Coeur d'Alene District is seeking public nominations for four positions on its District Resource Advisory Council, which advises the district on public land issues. The BLM will consider nominations through April 1. In North Idaho, the BLM is seeking nominees to fill four positions that will become vacant this fall.

The BLM's RACs, composed of citizens chosen for their expertise in natural resource issues, help the bureau carry out its stewardship of more than 245 million acres of public lands.

Individuals may nominate themselves or others to serve on an advisory council.

An online nomination form as well as more information about BLM Idaho RACs is available at: http://www.blm.gov/id/st/en/get_involved/resource_advisory.html.

Nomination packages must be received by April 1.
