Idaho Independent Bank reports net income for fourth quarter

Idaho Independent Bank reported net income for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, was $362,000, or 4 cents per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $3.7 million, or 46 cents per diluted share, for the same period a year ago.

The bank's net loss for the year ended Dec. 31, was $5.5 million, or 67 cents per diluted share.

IIB's total assets as of Dec. 31, increased $26 million, or 5.9 , to $466.8 million from $440.8 million at December 31, 2011.

Deposits and repurchase agreements increased $30.4 million, or 8.3 percent, to $398.1 million from $367.7 million at Dec. 31, 2011.

Total loans decreased $18.2 million, or 7.4 percent, to $229.1 million over the same timeframe. Nonperforming assets continue to show improvement and were down 40.2 percent for the year ending Dec. 31, 2012.

Huitt joins Idaho Trust Bank

Idaho Trust Bank hired Ken Huitt as a wealth management private banker to the bank's Coeur d'Alene branch. Huitt graduated from Gonzaga University with his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration.

Huitt's five years of experience in the legal and financial arenas as well as his multiple financial licenses will allow him to provide total wealth solutions for his clients. He is an active member of the community including Kootenai County Young Professionals and Hayden Chamber of Commerce,.

Olson joins Family Support Services of North Idaho
