GUNS: In defense of Constitution

| February 6, 2013 8:00 PM

Nearly every news organization as well as the White House, Obama, his press secretary and liberals express outrage that no one needs a firearm that shoots more than seven to 10 bullets to shoot a deer. That is the arrogance and ignorance of our (deer) politicians that while exempting themselves pass laws to restrict ours.

Our Second Amendment states: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. Ignorant people have a different take on this. Our founding fathers placed this in our Constitution to protect us from the experiences of oppressive, unjust, arbitrary, harsh and restrictive government the British government had laid upon them. They used “infringed” to define the amendment as a government disobeying, weakening, breaking, violating or passing laws of transgression that arbitrarily affect citizens.

The White House and Senate Democrats have violated the Constitution for not producing a budget in four years, illegal recess, appointments, executive orders that bypass Congress. Is our government following in the footsteps that defined the British?

I don’t think our military would fire on American citizens but the Germans who were totally disarmed found egotistical men to man the SS and they had no trouble pulling you out of your house and executing you. With the evolution in firearms would you want equality in firepower when defending yourself against Obama’s private army that he has expressed interest in?

Regardless of your political leanings, tyranny is a subtle enemy.
