ABORTION: A squandered asset

| February 6, 2013 8:00 PM

Since 1973 about 50 million abortions have taken place. In just 40 years, roughly 50 million people don’t exist. To put this in terms of the economy, there are taxpayers who are not paying their fair share of the tax burden or contributing to social services, people who could have been doctors, engineers, scientists, teachers, people who would have helped to fill in the shortages upcoming with Obamacare. Therefore we are paying for abortion twice, whether privately or with government funds, and through the loss of uncollected taxes.

Further loss is realized by not having these aborted people as consumers, which today could certainly help our struggling economy. And who knows, it might have changed which politicians were elected, perhaps for the better. Our greatest asset in America is its people and to squander that valuable asset through the horrific act of abortion just defies all logic and sanity.
