Several chances to learn about Cd'A levy
School officials in Coeur d'Alene are offering a variety of opportunities for community members to become informed and ask questions about the upcoming supplemental maintenance and operations levy that will go before voters on March 12.
There are two "Community Chats" coming up. These events create opportunities for citizens to communicate with board members and district administrators in a casual, informal setting.
The first chat takes place Wednesday at Canfield Middle School, 1800 E. Dalton Ave., Coeur d'Alene. It starts at 5 p.m. with a casual open house to view school bond construction remodel plans. The Community Chat begins at 6 p.m.
A similar event will take place Feb. 25 at Sorensen Magnet School, 310 N. Ninth St., Coeur d'Alene, with an open house at 5 p.m. to view school construction plans and a Community Chat beginning at 6 p.m.
Levy information is also available on the district's website, www.cdaschools.org.
District administrators and school board members are seeking out opportunities to present information about the levy to community groups and organizations. Interested groups are encouraged to contact the district by email, info@cdaschools.org.
Citizens with questions about the levy can also email their questions to Superintendent Hazel Bauman at info@cdaschools.org or by regular mail, to 311 N. 10th St., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814. Response time by email will be within 48 hours.
Public service announcements will also be broadcast on CDA TV Channel 19 and the district's website with information about the levy and voter and election information.
