POST FALLS - The top two teams in the state in 5A girls basketball play tonight for a berth to state, when No. 1 Post Falls (20-1) plays host to No. 2 Coeur d'Alene (17-4) at 7 at The Arena in the 5A Region 1 championship game.

The winner advances to state beginning Feb. 14 at the Idaho Center in Nampa.

In a loser-out game, also tonight at 7, Lake City (10-11) travels to fifth-ranked Lewiston (15-6). That winner plays at the Coeur d'Alene-Post Falls loser on Thursday at 7 in the second-place game, with the winner of that game advancing to a state play-in game Saturday at 3 p.m. at Grangeville High for a berth to state.

Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls split their two meetings during the regular season, each winning on their home court. Post Falls' overtime victory over Cd'A on Jan. 25 gave the Trojans the 5A Inland Empire League title and home-court advantage throughout the regional tournament.
