REMARK: View from 'other side'
Tony Stewart, secretary for the human relations task force, is not happy with the apology given by Brent Regan, about a comment his wife made. Curious how when the other side makes a mistake an apology is never enough. There is always talk or a hint of resignation. The news media gives you 24/7 coverage of the dastardly deed.
Of course if you’re from the other side, then it was a simple slip of the tongue or you misunderstood the quote. An apology is always expected. Resignation — are you kidding? Probably a promotion of some kind is due for even being challenged. News media, are you kidding? There will be no coverage because you can do no wrong, after all you are from their side.
While the comment might have been inappropriate, I sure found it funny as hell and a grain of truth in it. Of course, because I am on the other side I must be a racist ! Of course you will never believe that I am not a racist, because if I disagree with you I must labeled something dastardly. I need to be labeled and branded for all the world to see, after all I am from the other side.
