A Worley man arrested late Friday is believed to be the masked robber who held up a Coeur d'Alene coffee stand Wednesday while wearing a SpongeBob SquarePants mask.
Acting on a tip, investigators identified Kyle Ernest Campbell, 24, as a possible suspect and obtained enough evidence to request a search warrant for Campbell's home in Worley. During the search, detectives found a SpongeBob SquarePants facial mask and believe it to be the same mask Campbell wore during the robbery.
Kootenai County Sheriffs Department and Coeur d'Alene Tribal Police personnel assisted Coeur d'Alene Police detectives in serving the warrant. Campbell was arrested and booked into Kootenai County Jail on robbery charges.
