Vikings' Brainard signs to play at Great Falls
GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Coeur d'Alene High senior Kendalyn Brainard has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Great Falls, an NAIA school, Lady Argos coach Bill Himmelberg announced.
"We could not be more excited that Kendalyn chose the University of Great Falls," Himmelberg said in a press release. "She is a strong guard that is able to post up as well as play outside."
The 5-foot-11 Brainard averaged 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game at Coeur d'Alene.
"I am excited to attend UGF and to play at the college level," Brainard said. "Offense sells tickets and defense wins championships."
Brainard will join former Coeur d'Alene teammate and current Lady Argo Erin Legel on the floor. Legel is the Argos' leading scorer and has already broken the single-season assist record at UGF.
