Mamie Alice Lucille Goodwin Reese Boman, 86

Mamie Alice Lucille Goodwin Reese Boman, 86, passed away Jan. 28, 2013. She was born April 2, 1926, to John Wesley Goodwin and Mary Jane Scobee in Gas City, Kan.

She married John Day Reese in 1949 and were blessed with two children John Ray Reese in April 6, 1944, and Phillip Roy Reese in Nov. 26, 1945, and was widowed before Phil was born, her husband was shot in a hunting accident two weeks after returning home from the war. Mamie later married Mavin W. Boman in 1949 in Logan, Utah, and later sealed in the Cardston Temple in Alberta, Canada. They were blessed with two more children, M. Steve Boman on March 16, 1950, and Mollie A. Boman on March 29, 1951.

She had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren whom she loved. She loved gardening, hobbies, fishing and she loved her animals. She was the rock and anchor to her family, she always gave support to her family and friends whom she loved dearly. Mamie soothed a lot of hearts she loved going to luncheons with her friends and made friends wherever she went.

Mamie was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers and two husbands. She has one remaining brother, Ray Goodwin, who is 91 years old. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day-Saints. She is having a great reunion in heaven with family and friends. We love you mom.

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at LDS Church on Fourth and Anton in Coeur d’Alene, viewing will be from noon until 12:45 p.m. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Burial will be following services at Riverview Cemetery.
