GUNS: Problem is evil in world

| February 1, 2013 8:33 PM

If we really wanted to get serious on gun violence in our society, why wouldn’t we go after the root source of the problem? People are made in the image of God, and are constantly being attacked by evil. Some need help.

Why don’t we see politicians calling out in public, on camera, and in front of reporters asking anybody thinking of committing crimes against innocent people to please seek help?

Why don’t we see PSAs on TV daily targeting those that might want to harm others? Why don’t we see celebrities put out commercials asking those who contemplate killing to first seek counsel on why they are feeling that way?

Why doesn’t our president, who has the biggest stage to communicate to the American people, just stand up and say, “If you’re hurting, we want to help. If you’re angry, we want to help. Please, life is too precious.”

I am totally baffled that we continue to hear that guns, certain kinds of guns, ammo clips are the problem. No. The real problem is evil in the world.

Call it what you want, but there is. Will it ever go away? Some day, but for the time being it’s here. Once you acknowledge that there are forces out there hell bent on influencing, pushing, and lying to people in order to make them do things beyond comprehension then one can correctly identify the problem.

Evil exists! Blaming guns is just way easier than having to acknowledge there is a spiritual realm out there, and Evil vs. Good is real.

If our politicians were problem solvers they would put God back in our schools, our halls, our courts, and homes. Let’s have our “leaders” stand up and act like leaders and call out those who need help, offer it to them.

This country was founded on the idea that we all are inherently good, and with a little faith and work we can be whatever we want. Those who commit heinous acts have chosen not to pursue that, and to deny it to others. If you’re honest you know that they were led to that decision.

Ultimately they are to blame, but evil entered their world somehow some way and they chose to follow. Professional, spiritual help may have gotten to any of these young people that chose to walk down a wicked path.

You don’t hear that in any speeches, or marches, or talking points persecuting evil. All you hear is the chicken excuse that we need to set more rigid controls on objects that need human interface to function. I don’t own any guns. I am just sick and tired of hearing arguments and excuses for the real problem.
