HOSPICE: Counselors bid fond farewell

| December 22, 2013 8:00 PM

As former bereavement counselors at Hospice of North Idaho we would like our bereavement clients to know that we are concerned about your well-being especially during this difficult holiday season.

It is important to us that the hundreds of deeply hurting people we were supporting understand that it was not our choice to end the relationship with you so abruptly. On Dec. 10 we were told it was our last day at Hospice of North Idaho. Although it was devastating to be told our positions would be eliminated effective immediately, our greatest regret is that we were not given the opportunity to contact you, our bereavement clients, before leaving.

We are saddened to no longer be able to support you in the same capacity, but we want you all to know that it has been our greatest honor to walk with you during this very painful time in your lives and witness your courage, resilience and strength. We hope you are able to find the support that you need and deserve and that you will continue to grow and heal.

Please be gentle with yourselves and know you are in our thoughts and that we truly care about you. It is vitally important that you know your well-being matters to us very much, and it has been our privilege to be of service to you.
