NEIGHBOR: More like a nightmare

| December 20, 2013 8:00 PM

I have a great neighborhood. We have a bonfire Saturday nights where everyone comes except for one lady. This one person has made life miserable. She takes pictures of people, she follows people to work, and she has tried to get people fired.

Most recently, my two dogs, who are a part of the family, turned up missing. We have a 6-foot tall fence around the backyard. The only way they could get out is if someone intentionally let them out. When I found out they were gone, I immediately started looking for them. Come to find out animal control had been called out because someone said two dogs were running throughout the neighborhood. Instead of returning the dogs, she put them out of sight in her backyard.

We called the Humane Society and they said they had them. I was very upset and started to cry. As I’m sitting there crying she drives around the block just smiling! It’s gone too far and the people that are supposed to protect us aren’t. When she does something we call the police and get another case on file, but it’s not helping. My question is: How far does it have to go before our city officials actually do something and protect their citizens?

We have cases of harassment but the city won’t prosecute. The message they send to the younger generation is that it’s OK to do something illegal.

Something has to be done because there are consequences for people’s actions.
