Lake City drops a wild one at Rocky Mountain

| August 31, 2013 9:00 PM

MERIDIAN - Scoring points wasn't a problem for the Lake City Timberwolves in their season opener Friday night.

The problem was keeping the other team from scoring.

Tucker Louie-McGee threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score for Lake City, but Rocky Mountain quarterback Riley Bradshaw threw for six of his own to lead the Grizzlies to a 63-41 win in the nonleague football opener for both schools on Friday.

Gavan Rosteck ran for a pair of touchdowns and a team-high 46 yards for Lake City, which allowed 634 yards of total offense in the opener.

Bradshaw also ran for 119 yards and Jake Knight had five catches for 133 yards and a touchdown for Rocky Mountain.

Lake City travels to Kennewick (Wash.) next Friday night.
