A unique three-meal menu featuring wild game is the specialty of G.W. Hunters Restaurant in Post Falls. Its major news features new owners George Peichev and his son Rob.

Located in the northwest corner of Spokane Street and Interstate 90 since 2003, G.W. Hunter's seats 142 customers at tables, booths, a counter and on an outdoor patio. Its outdoor bounty comes from three sources in Idaho and Montana, and its decor includes 75 museum quality trophy heads.

The restaurant began in 1997 on Fourth Street in Coeur d'Alene in what is now the Pho Vietnamese restaurant and originally was a Skipper's eatery. Recent seller Dave Swanson had it for nine years.

The Peichevs came from Timber Cove in Northern California and have 35 years of restaurant experience. They have 35 employees in Post Falls. Open hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. It has a full liquor license. Phone 777-9388. Check www.gwhunters.com.

John L. Scott Realty in Riverstone

A new 3,000-square-foot office will be ready in the early fall for John L. Scott Real Estate at 1884 W. Bellerive Lane in Riverstone.

The current office is at 2065 Riverstone.

The Coeur d'Alene office is the only corporate-owned outlet in Idaho, and the new waterfront location will have 25 to 30 real estate agents.

Key people are Patty Muhlhauser, managing broker, and Trudi Kuhn, office manager. Together they have 38 years of real estate experience.

"Buying and selling real estate is the largest and most financial decisions most people will make in their lives," Muhlhauser said. "It's a huge but most rewarding responsibility when you can be instrumental in helping people attain the significant goal of home ownership."

Hours in the new office will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Phone 755-2777. Check www.johnlscott.com. The 82-year-old company has more than 100 offices in the Northwest.

Now for some Tidbits

- Watch for details on moves to 1450 Northwest Boulevard by Hubworks and Impact Mortgage.

- A brewery is planned for near the Pleasantview exit in Post Falls.

- Bulletproof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers and laser printers were invented by women.

- "Blonde" is a female noun, not adjective. "Towhead" originated from a freshly cut log to be towed.

- Avoid starting a sentence with "there," which means almost nothing and forces a boring "to be" verb such as "are." And avoid "a lot." "There are a lot of people living here" is better as "Many people live here."
