PITBULL: Attack was preventable

| August 7, 2013 9:00 PM

The other night my neighbor and friend was outside working in his yard when his next-door neighbor walked by with his pitbull on a leash. My friend asked if the dog was friendly. He said yes. As my friend bent down to pet the dog, it attacked him, taking his lip, chin and cheek off. Come to find out that anytime the dog is outside it is required to have a muzzle on.

This tragedy could have been prevented. Dog owners need to take responsibility for their dogs. My friend is 71 years old and is scarred for life with permanent nerve damage.
