CONFUCIUS: Can't trust the Chinese

| April 28, 2013 9:00 PM

Kudos to Mr. Sloan’s article on China’s disregard of patents, industrial espionage and anything else they can glean without paying for. They have done this forever since the first U.S. industry transplanted itself into China. You cannot go into any store and not find an item “hecho en China.” And who taught them how to make all these items? Us, so it is no surprise that they think they can copy anything, subvert people into stealing or buy their way into technology.

And now they have bought their way into our society by absorbing as much debt as our government can offer, they think they are empowered to do just about anything they want. As our economy begins to pick up, and consumers begin to purchase more, we have to be aware of who really is benefitting from this. It is a shame we have slumbered along all these years letting our industries die, while China gets rich off our desire for cheap goods and higher profits for the companies that have moved there.
