Wolf trapping is wrong

Many will or have been walking for wolves this month, to address the misguided information toward wolves. I thank you.

Where there are so many 'people' problems in the world, I feel animal rights have been put on the back burner ...

We all have different passions ... my passion happens to be animals, nature and wildlife! Specifically wolves!

There is a misconception about wolves, and I won't get into all the misconceptions right now. What I do want to address is TRAPPING of WOLVES! It is torture, inhumane and wrong! Being from, and of Idaho, I can honestly say I am ashamed of Idaho now!

The politicians have taken over the decision making of our most precious wildlife! ... ignoring all knowledge and science as to how to care and protect our wildlife... and eco system. It seems politicians are for special interests only! "Money"! ... Twisted with misguided dogma ...

The worst is, wolf trapping! Killing they call culling/harvesting (kinder words to camouflage killing) Trapping is legal in Idaho!

Trapping is inhumane! There is nothing nice about trapping!

To many who are not aware, trapping is not some cuddly little box they trap the animal in and euthanize.

There are many ways they inhumanly trap, there are snares, which slowly strangles the animal, or hang, again a slow inhumane death. There are leg hold traps, which they may be trapped for days, painful, and slowly starving. Then there is the conibear trap, which is horrific torture! it is a body snatching trap, it can trap their muzzle, where their muzzle is clamped shut, and the wolf exhibits a gruesome slow death. Conibear traps can also leg hold, again a tortuous death. Conibear traps have been outlawed in other countries, and states! The wolf, the trapper says he is after, but excuse me, other wildlife is attracted to the traps, as well as domestic dogs, and pets. Trapping doesn't discriminate!

Then I wonder after expressing my distaste and disgust for trapping, are there still those that don't think animals feel pain, or have emotions?! Are they living in the 15-16th century where Rene Descartes tortured animals, saying because they don't 'talk' (his language) they are machines, with no feeling!? Who are these people that torture by trapping? and feel no remorse. Or do they still believe the little red riding hood childhood make believe story? "The Big Bad Wolf!" Or perhaps they are sadists that get great pleasure out of this torture, and to think Idaho is supporting this, making it a law. Every politician that contributed to making it a law should have to watch these tortured animals. It is wrong, and immoral, it reflects on the state of Idaho! Shame on you Idaho!

A nation/ country, state, town, family... How we treat our animals reflects ...Who we are! Who you are! Who are you?

If you find you care, I suggest you go to one of many wolf advocate websites: Also speak up, let your politicians know trapping is wrong and inhumane.
