QUESTION: Does this make sense?

I know it may not be as important as some other letters but I found it crazy when I went into a big store (we’ll call it Wally World) and being only 16 they would not sell me a can of spray primer for my truck. Twenty years ago you could buy TNT at age 14. Is this where the U.S. is at?
