Cd'A to settle funding issue

| April 4, 2013 9:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE - The Coeur d'Alene City Council will meet at noon today to repeal an ordinance that will ensure the city won't go to an election to fund major upgrades to its wastewater treatment plant.

The city will instead rely on a recently-approved judicial confirmation to secure around $33.5 million for the project. It had chosen to go to election to bypass a legal challenge on the judge's ruling, but changed course again this week when one city councilman, Steve Adams, said he would withdraw his pledge to appeal the judge's decision.

The meeting is at the Old Council Chambers at City Hall, 710 Mullan Ave.
