PYP: Statement was a disgrace

Tom Hamilton’s admission of personal values of intolerance (“PYP Back in the Spotlight,” Sept. 19) echoes the small-mindedness and xenophobia of North Idaho’s national reputation of 20 years ago. It is such a disappointing step backward in time and conscience!

I don’t know which is more astonishing to me — the fact that this man is the chairman of our school board, or the fact that he is allowed now to keep his job after this disgraceful public statement.
