Grace Agnes Self Beare, 83

Grace Agnes Self Beare died Sept. 13, 2012. She was with her grandchildren in the Good Samaritan Facility in Silverton.

She was born in Grenola, Kan., on April 9, 1929, the second child of Willard and Grace Self. Her family moved to Idaho from Colorado in 1940. She met Ben Beare in Cataldo and married him July 3, 1945. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 2011, ending their 66-year marriage.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Ben; son Larry Lee Beare; her sisters, Ruby Sears, Hazel Taylor and Nancy Lee Self; and brothers, Richard Self and infant twin brothers, Dale and Donald Self.

She is survived by her brothers, Willard and M.R. Pete Self; daughter Sandra “Smokey” Beare; granddaughter Gaynor Trebilcock; grandson M. Shaye Humphreys; great-granddaughters, Michelle Zimmer, Elizabeth Davis and Brandi Pankowski; great-grandsons, Mikee Humphreys and Jeremy Trebilcock; great-great-grandchildren, Aubree and Kaden Zimmer, Venice Davis and Carter and Coulton Pankowski; also Kelly Starnes, Tyler, “Tater” and Tess Wilkens; numerous nieces, nephews, inlaws, outlaws and friends.

Aggie crafted numerous sweaters and afgans and was always seen with needlework in hand. When she was 62 years old she began painting focusing on old barns and Idaho scenery and wildlife. She was a member of the Mission Ladies club and other community activities in the Cataldo Area.

Funeral will be a simple grave site at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. A potluck will follow at the Rose Lake School (close to 2:30 p.m.). For additional information call (907) 738-0447 or (208) 682-2186.
