| September 16, 2012 9:00 PM

HAYDEN - The Coeur d'Alene boys placed four runners in the top 10, good enough to eke out first place in the team competition at the Coeur d'Alene/Super 1 Invitational held Saturday at Hayden Canyon.

Sandpoint's San Levora took first with a time of 15:35.8.

"He was 20 seconds ahead of the next competitor," Sandpoint coach Matt Brass of Levora, a junior. "It was a really technical course with hills and single track, a true cross country course."

Josie Brown won the individual girls large school title, and fellow Vikings Punky Duran (2nd) and Emily Callahan (3rd) helped Coeur d'Alene to a landslide victory in the girls large school division.

Leif Fredericks of Coeur d'Alene Charter won the small school boys title, and Timberlake placed three runners in the top 10 to capture the team title.

Rachel Ward of Timberlake won the girls race and lead the Tigers to the small school girls team title.
