PROPS: Coaching voters to say yes

Alethea Lynch’s letter about Coach Akey was absolutely “SPOT ON” the money. After reading it I knew I had to write my own letter.

Propositions 1 and 2 are on the upcoming ballot and every parent, grandparent and “parent-in-waiting” has the opportunity to make certain that ALL children, including yours and mine, will receive a far better Idaho public school education than those who have gone through the system in years past. A YES VOTE on BOTH Props 1 and 2 guarantees that the educational changes put in place by the Idaho Legislature less than two years ago will remain in place. A YES VOTE on BOTH Props 1 and 2 forces the teachers unions and their hierarchy to be accountable to someone other than themselves.

Any voter who needed any additional information concerning Props 1 and 2 needed only to read about Coach Akey’s $375,000 annual salary. $375K a year is certainly worth fighting for, especially when you have been so successful in keeping parents and voters in the dark for so long. I want to personally thank Alethea Lynch for opening up my eyes and to Coach Akey I also would like to say that something good will come out of your unfortunate termination. This “good” would be a resounding YES on Props 1 and 2. Now that’s Adult Education.
