| October 28, 2012 9:00 PM

Daniel Buck rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries as Timberlake defeated Parma 21-0 in a 3A state play-in football game Saturday at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow.

Timberlake (5-4) will play host to Weiser (5-4) in a first-round playoff game Saturday at 1 p.m. at Van Tuinstra Memorial Field in Spirit Lake.

Also Saturday at the Dome, Kellogg lost 71-12 to top-ranked Payette. The Wildcats finished 1-8.

And late Saturday, in the nightcap of the tripleheader, Priest River (5-4) lost 54-32 to Payette.

Forrest Herring rushed for 57 yards on 12 carries for Timberlake. Preston Rhodes added 39 yards on 10 carries, and quarterback Dakota Rice rushed for 38 yards on two carries, including a 34-yard TD run to open the scoring in the second quarter.

Timberlake totaled 247 of its 263 yards on the ground.

"I thought we got after them defensively," Timberlake offensive coordinator Brian Kluss said, praising the play of Herring at linebacker, and defensive ends Tyler Condon, Mike Doran and Mason Cramer. "We seemed to be in control throughout the game. Offensively we were consistent, moving the ball."

Parma finished 2-7.
