Cd'A Resort named one of 'Top 40

Resorts in the West'

Conde Nast Traveler has built a considerable reputation on profiling the world's finest travel destinations.

It does this by asking the best-traveled experts it knows - its readers.

Those readers continue to praise The Coeur d'Alene Resort, which has again landed in Conde Nast's coveted Reader's Choice Awards.

The magazine's November issue names The Resort in its "Top 40 Resorts in the West."

"A nicely balanced resort with eight different places to drink and dine. We liked lunches overlooking the world-famous Floating Green on the lake," wrote reader Ken Boris of Colorado.

The Coeur d'Alene Resort was thoroughly remodeled recently to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Fortune names STCU one of America's

great places to work

Fortune magazine announced that STCU is one of America's great places to work.

The region's largest not-for-profit credit union ranked 16th among medium-sized companies on the "Great Place to Work Best Small & Medium Workplaces" list of the top 25. No other Northwest company made the list of medium-sized companies, while one Oregon company was listed among small companies.

The small- and medium-company lists were revealed online by Fortune at www.cnnmoney.com and will be published in the Nov. 12 issue of the print magazine.

"Those of us who are privileged to work at STCU already knew it was a great place to work," said Tom Johnson, STCU President/CEO. "It's wonderful to have that validated by an organization known for putting companies through a rigorous proving process."

STCU, which serves North Idaho, has 110,000 members.
